God is amazing isn't He?
He works in interesting and mysterious ways!:) Today, i've learnt the power of accountability too.

Looking back on my journey as a praise and worship leader,
i've been so mightily blessed in this area.

In 2007, when i enrolled into SOT, i never knew that i would be able to one day stand on the stage to sing to crowds of people.
Really..it never crossed my mind.
But..when the time came for a mission trip to KL DUMC..that is when everything changed.
I remember sitting the room and Yu Zhen is supposed to be the praise and worship leader.
But due to something that cropped up..she wasn't sure if she could make it for the trip.
So..Irene kinda asked me.."are you a CGL?"
so of course when i said yes..they asked if i could lead the praise and worship.

That day during the practice..i sang with all my heart!!! It was like any other time when i did my Quiet time with God. That kind of special moments.
Before that, i actually sang alot alot..in the bathroom la. haha. it was the preparation stage!
Few days before i left for the mission trip, i emailed Pastor CK abt this, and that i was really excited to lead the praise for the mission trip!

And because of that one email..the doors opened for me to lead in leader's meeting.
What an awesome privilege!
I must never take forgranted what has been given to me.
From then on, i grew to love leading worship and grew to love the Presence Of God more.

Most importantly, in 2008 when i learnt to play the guitar..i was able to bring my personal worship to a whole new dimension! That's when my singing also grew.:)

Before New year .. i emailed Pst again..to be accountable abt my life. And because of that..once again i had the opportunity to organise Poh's meeting!
It was amazing stuff! That is the power of accountability.
Doors open that easily!

Yesterday as i began to sing the song "Walau Seribu Rebah"..tears just began to flow down my eyes again.
That refuge and secret place that i love.
The rest of God.
It is one thing to be able to sing a song beautifully..its another to be able to have the song carry a certain rest in it.
Rest in God..that is the essence of worship for me personally.
When i plug into God..i always sense that rest coming upon me. That desperation for more.

That's why my motto: Stick close to His Presence!
Now, i know why 10,000 hours of practice would mean success.
I will sing 10,000 hours!
I will do my lab for 10,000 hours!!
