Heya everyone!

It's been such a fruitful CNY...my hong bao really going from glory to glory!:)

all thanks to my VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY GENEROUS POPPY AND MUMMY!
honestly..now that i'm 21..
i kinda feel bad to take their money..
haiz..

if u saw my ang bao..i think u all will kill to be my parents daughter.
i caught one principle that morning when i wished them and did our normal "ritual" of blessing each other before we set off for visiting..

and that is really how parents will never hold back anything from their children.
Children are a lucky bunch! And i am really blessed to have great parents.
I must learn this principle so that in future when i have my own kids..i will bless them exceedingly, abundantly, richly, bountifully!!!

WOW.. really i'm still amazed at how much they gave me and my sister.

i mean we aren't young and my parents are only millionaires-to-be (speak positively ma!) haha..
but yet they are willing to spend so much on us..and on me especially.

i'm thankful in 2009..for my family!
I wanna earn lotsa money when i grow up and i want to buy my parents a big house and nice holiday tours to all over the world!!:D

thank you mummy and poppy for tirelessly investing in me..with ur money, with ur effort, nagging and with everything you've got.
Now i know why...God wants us to honour our parents as one of the MOST impt commandments..and the only one with a promise.

SIMPLY BECAUSE.. they gave their lives up for yours.
and i wanna bless them back 1000 fold when i become rich! :D heheheh

And..on a academic note..

i am determined to study hard this semester.. i will attend all my lectures and tutorials.
I will not pon anymore! i will do my homework! :D :D:D

YAY!
and also today we had a great time fellowshipping and meeting our CK family @ Pst's house!
Really had a great time of food and fellowship and also re-focus our priorities as a zone.
Yes..it will be phenomenal in the year to come and i believe i'm in for greater suprises!!:):)

Wow! it's beeen a loonnnng awaited time..
and i finally got my iphone!!!!

AHHHH!!! I'M SO HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! :D
i waited like 3 months for this to happen.
really struggled and didn't know which phone to buy.
my initial options were iTouch and a good camera phone (Sony Ericsson G900).
Then..too expensive..so i decided ..hmm maybe samsung omnia or nokia.
But after i explored further and realised that iphone has a downloadable application for forwarding sms.. (cos the iphone actually cannot forward sms..)
i decided to get this..as it was cheaper too.

so some of you might be wondering..cheaper? serious?
yea! i only paid effectively 308! hahaha.. lol
its 508 with 100 trade in for SE K800i (byebye my beloved camera phone..) and 100 rebate!
yay!woohoo!

And now..my life will never be boring again! hahah..got so many useful apps and nice podcasts to listen to!

there's john bevere, phil pringle, joyce meyer, ar bernard, joel osteen...discovery channel (normal and space)..there's obama's weekly addresses..

wow..never ending list..

It's been a seriously crazy and tiring week..but i shall confess that i'm energetic! i will have energy!!! lol

Wah..really can feel age catching up:( i like can't wake up in the morning..i sleep on buses like nobody is watching..
i sleep in lecture! omg..how can that be acceptable?

I better start getting some exercise man..since i stopped my gym at fitness first..i really am not fit!!! that is very very bad!

I used to go gym twice a week..
now..NOT ONCE! omg..how? how?

There's so much to do..so little time..i can't afford to be tired!
I know that one way i can help myself is to really sleep early. so i better go force myself to sleep now!!!!! and also..must spend time lingering in the presence.

It's always when i'm least connected to God that i run by my own strength.
On an ending note! THINGS ARE GREAT! AND WILL GET BETTER IN 2009!

God is amazing isn't He?
He works in interesting and mysterious ways!:) Today, i've learnt the power of accountability too.

Looking back on my journey as a praise and worship leader,
i've been so mightily blessed in this area.

In 2007, when i enrolled into SOT, i never knew that i would be able to one day stand on the stage to sing to crowds of people.
Really..it never crossed my mind.
But..when the time came for a mission trip to KL DUMC..that is when everything changed.
I remember sitting the room and Yu Zhen is supposed to be the praise and worship leader.
But due to something that cropped up..she wasn't sure if she could make it for the trip.
So..Irene kinda asked me.."are you a CGL?"
so of course when i said yes..they asked if i could lead the praise and worship.

That day during the practice..i sang with all my heart!!! It was like any other time when i did my Quiet time with God. That kind of special moments.
Before that, i actually sang alot alot..in the bathroom la. haha. it was the preparation stage!
Few days before i left for the mission trip, i emailed Pastor CK abt this, and that i was really excited to lead the praise for the mission trip!

And because of that one email..the doors opened for me to lead in leader's meeting.
What an awesome privilege!
I must never take forgranted what has been given to me.
From then on, i grew to love leading worship and grew to love the Presence Of God more.

Most importantly, in 2008 when i learnt to play the guitar..i was able to bring my personal worship to a whole new dimension! That's when my singing also grew.:)

Before New year .. i emailed Pst again..to be accountable abt my life. And because of that..once again i had the opportunity to organise Poh's meeting!
It was amazing stuff! That is the power of accountability.
Doors open that easily!

Yesterday as i began to sing the song "Walau Seribu Rebah"..tears just began to flow down my eyes again.
That refuge and secret place that i love.
The rest of God.
It is one thing to be able to sing a song beautifully..its another to be able to have the song carry a certain rest in it.
Rest in God..that is the essence of worship for me personally.
When i plug into God..i always sense that rest coming upon me. That desperation for more.

That's why my motto: Stick close to His Presence!
Now, i know why 10,000 hours of practice would mean success.
I will sing 10,000 hours!
I will do my lab for 10,000 hours!!

So many times, i think i'm in a position where i am happy at..but yet. i know There is More.
There is really more for my life.
There must be more in my studies.
There is more in my ministry!
There is more in my relationships with family and friends.

It is up to me whether or not i want to be chosen.
There shall not be any option for the things i want to achieve.
Who says I can't? God says I can. and that settles it.

Today..was a day to pack my room!

I literally turned it upside down..and threw away alot of stuff!
Packed loads of books into the boxes.
You cannot imagine how many books i have just from sermon notes alone!!
OMG.
But..interestingly, during my packing, i came across the letters i wrote to God in a book, when i was primary 5 and 6. (cute right?!!?lol.)

And you know what i say written? I flipped through and realised in one entry i wrote:
"Lord, please give me a voice so that i can sing beautifully!"

Wow..at the moment it struck me that my prayers when i was in primary school had come true today.Amazing.
Not that my voice is that beautiful..but i actually can sing la. hahaha. amazing stuff huh!
God works in the most wonderful ways:)
I think it's great to write letters to God and keep them..so that you can see how u grow over the years!:)hehe. shall continue my rendezvous to God and see what happens in future:)

Oh..and today i had a really divine meeting with Summer @ River Island. WOAH.. I think God arranged it:) Cos..she has a friend who learns singing from Annabel..which means! I can also get her contact le! YAY!! have been thinking how to contact Annabel..finally i got it:) means i can start learning soon yea? hahaha!!!!

Anyway, i'm really thinking if i should study overseas..hmm..its really a tough decision.
I leave it in Your hands Lord, and I'm trusting that you'll have the right timing, right place for me:)

Before the new year gets tooo old.. i wanna make a tribute to the pple specifically whom i really want to thank:)

1) Mum and Poppy: You both have been the inspiration, the perspiration that keeps this family alive and kicking. Words cannot express the gratitude i feel. I feel really bad sometimes that i have to spend your money to study even when i'm 21 already. I need to earn big bucks and buy a big house for you both to stay in when i grow older!!! Burghley drive!!!! Thank you mummy and poppy (if you ever read this) .. for the tonnes of sacrifices you make! I shall be a dutiful daughter and keep the house clean always! What would i be without you both!:)

2) Pst CK: of course He is the man who has directly influenced my life in a tremendous way.
Serving God with you is always a pleasure because there are so many exciting and trendsetting ideas you have! I really thank God that he put me in ck zone from the start:) Thank you Pastor for your unwavering belief in each and every single leader and member in this zone.

3) Claire: You're the best zone SEC ever!!! Hahah. i dun think you'll read this. but helping out in admin is so much fun with you!:) Admin is never boring and i know its really tough at times..but! you have made our zone function as its supposed to be! Although still got lots of room to improve..but you have already done a phenomenal job! Thanks for all your encouragement in 2008 and your advice to me when i'm not doing well :)

4) Shaun: You're the person who has grown so so much in 2008..cos of all the canes i used on u. hahahah. but i'm glad you are who you are today. Don't ever think u've arrived!! :) But i really thank God that you are part of my life. I think we have a long journey in life together! Hang on buddy!:)

5) Hui Juan: Thank you for 3 wonderful years of friendship:) You never fail to make me smile with your hilarious jokes and lameness. 2008 was a year that we were less together ( i dun see u 24 hours a day, 7 days a week), but i know we have become closer cos we went to BINTAN together!! you are my bra my woman! hahaha (rem my bday card!!lol). Thank you for organising my bday dinner..it wouldnt be special if not for you!:) LOVE YA!!

6) Jasmine: Thank you for letting me mug at your place! Thank you for all these years of friendship we shared. And and..I really think that your tong tong is so cute:) Remember our pact of studying together this coming semester!!!:) hehe..i will motivate you and you will motivate me!! 4.0! we can do it!:)

7) Ying Ying: you're really my longest childhood friend! We've known each other since pri 4!!! woah..its such along time:) i'm glad we stayed as friends despite the troubles we've went through. Thank you for always being there and i am positively sure that you can reach your goal.:) believe in yourself k:) love you loads!!

8) JOY and LEO: i think you will never read this unless i show it to you..lol..but i still wanna say that JIE JIE.. i love you loads! I can never never imagine..that if you are not there for me..what would i become today? I am able to dress up because of you..i have funky clothes to wear cos of you..i have fights and quarels at home..also becos of you. hahah. And leo! Welcome to the Put! family:) You've brought loads of joy into my sister's life..and i know..you have also brought loads of it into this family. must take good care of my sis yea!! or i'll come chasing after you! hahahahah! I'm waiting to be a bridesmaid!!!lol.

Blessed New Year to YOU..and you..and you.. and you!!!:)

Well, today i slept in late, till almost 12 noon!:)
Then went to catch the movie "Australia"!!


Australia is really the best movie i've watched this year..why?
Cos in 2009 i only watched one movie. hahahaha.. i know you are rolling your eyes now. LOL.

But i must say, its very very touching, very moving, exciting and has so much implications behind it.
I really love it when Nicole Kidman is so determined and stubborn to make something happen.
And most of all, the love that she has for the aboriginal kid, Naila, really makes me cry!
This show is all about love.
My favorite line in the show would be when Naila always says to Sarah Ashley, "I'll sing you to me".
WOW. it really touches the depths of my heart.
This movie is really about how we should never look down on minority races like those who are mixed blood.
How they deserve equal rights like all of us.
You know, sometimes in our lives, things are as IT IS.
But yet, doesn't mean it is, means it SHOULD BE.
So many times, we leave the facts as it is, not as it should be!
In 2009, i don't want to leave things as it is, i want to make things as it should be!

And btw, YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!! IT'S SO SO GOOD!

Like robson said, i could watch it 2983297501 times!!!
And the love story between hugh jackman and nicole kidman is so real. wow..amazing stuff:)
And once again, it reminds me, that being a person without love, without dreams is really pointless.
Everyone deserves to have dreams!
When the rain comes, everything grows and comes alive again.
In 2009, let the rain of the Holy Spirit rain upon us and WE WILL BE ALIVE AGAIN!!!:D
