Anyways, On my birthday, I went to catch This is IT! It was Phenomenal! MJ is truly the epitome of pop and of performance. He is a truly good peformer in himself. And I am blown away by how much love he has to offer to each dancer and also stage crew, and the message he has in his heart to bring to the nations about the Earth and about mankind.

MJ, I respect you, because you are truly God-sent to us, to show us that God is indeed Elohim- the creative God. And that God is truly able to do exceedingly abundantly in anything.
Have u ever wondered? If God created MJ, how much more creativity God must have?
I think my finite mind cannot comprehend it. All I can do is stand in awe of who He is.

Lord, You never fail to make me fall in love with You all Over again! <3

And and! I Can't wait for Christmas to come! The atmosphere is starting to get christmasy!! Hehe

It's the time of the year again-- my birthday!:)

FIRST of all, would like to SINCERELY THANK EVERYONE who wished me, who spent time with me and who made me feel super loved over this weekend. (:

And here, I just want to say that Lord, I'm forever grateful for what you have done for me this year. It's been amazing, and I know it's the beginning of more amazing things to come.

Lord, I thank you for:
-good health, a successful operation and a straightened spine (after many years)
-for my beloved poppy, mummy, joy and leo..not forgetting grover, ah geok and ah peng:)
-for putting me in such a fantastic lab
-for letting me get to know bionic 6
-for blessing me with a taiwan trip
-for U21 conference to London and Scotland

I really count my blessings, and please help me not to ever take it forgranted!!!!!

I must say that it has been a tough but absolutely mind blowing year, and many precious moments that I would never trade anything else for.

totallly loved my new camera and camera-whored like crazy in london and scotland!! hahaha!

I just feel really grateful for this blessing from God, to be able to go and enjoy myself and also make new friends from universities all over the world!
It is a very enriching experience and inspiring at the same time to know that there are many people who are passionate about research in so many diverse fields, brought together by a common passion to ask and answer questions that can help the world to become a better place!!!

I've learnt alot, and become more aware of myself and also have had time to think about many things!
I also wanna thank Kai Yun and De xiang for helping me with my loads of luggage throughout the trip, especially cos i can't carry heavy things! Thanks for being great buddies on this trip together!:)

And to Sam and Ben, thanks for taking time to come fetch me at the airport. It was honestly suprising cos I didn't expect anyone except my parents to come! But you guys really made my day and I was so happy to be able to see you guys again after 11 longggg days!!!:D

Well, really enjoyed yesterday and today, had Samantha staying over @ my place on Sat night, and we did our usual nonsense hahaa:)

Today i went to watch for the first time, a soccer match --Spartans!!
Must say i really enjoyed it, and the commentator (none other than Sam) was an educated one. hahahaha

yeah, never really knew why 11 guys go crazy over a ball. but after today , i think i know(:

Sitting in the lab, waiting for the sample to spin down in the centrifuge few doors away.:)

And guess the time now? It's 2.09am.
Wow!! It is 2 freakin' AM!!

I left school at 9pm earlier today, and reached home at 930, but I AM BACK IN 3 HOURS!!!!

Alright, I have no reason to complain, and i am happy because this means I have one more sample to look after and more cells!!! :D

So now, I make a declaration to my cells that I LOVE YOU!!! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND YOU CELLS ARE GONNA GROW LIKE NEVER BEFORE, INTO COBBLE-STONE EPCs!! GROW GROW GROWWWW!!!

so i can have a break from sample collection. hahahaha..

Anyway! I've changed my blogskin! Because apparently my very nice black and white polka dotted background is not supported by photobucket anymore. So tada! I have a N.E.R.D blogskin! which i think is so me, considering it has polka dots and it has a cool definition on being a trendy nerd, which I always tell my members to be. hahahah..

So anyway, hope it looks nice, and you can let me know if you absolutely hate it. hahah..and I will absolutely hate you. HAHAHA.. no la..joking!! HEHE:)

Okay, this is probably the only spare few minutes that i have to blog this week, cos tomorrow and thurs i'm packed with lab, tuition and lessons! And friday I need to go collect digital drums for the album recording, on saturday, then go to cell group, then leave early and go to my lab meeting (farewell for a PhD student).

SO JIA YOU DARICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WILL BE OVER SOON..

12 MORE DAYS TO LONDON AND SCOTLAND! IT WILL BE SO MUCH FUN!! PSYCHO MYSELF NOW TO WORK DOUBLY HARD THEN GO AND PLAY DOUBLY HARD THERE! WOOO!!!

Watched "The Ugly Truth" yesterday with the BIONIC SIX! HAHAHAH!

Woohoo! we all got our special powers to play with now! haha! really had a great time with everyone.

Was lying on my bed, thinking about how I used to be a very "2/3-in-a-grp" person, rather than those big gangs kind, especially from young till even JC or Uni.
But now, I realise, I do like hanging out in bigger groups! :D

As Sam said, I'm thankful and very grateful that God has answered my prayer for friends (i prayed this sometime back), and he gave me EXceedingly and Abundantly, more than I can ask or imagine. :) Thank you Jesus!

Anyway, back to the Ugly truth, I wanna blog about it, because it really made me think alot alot.
It was so real, the whole show and it made me realise a few things:
Sometimes, we really try to be someone's dream person, the perfect person, one that doesn't control or is pretty and sexy, and we end up, losing ourselves in the midst of it all.
After watching the show, i'm convicted, that I want to be myself everywhere I go, and have people love me for who I really am, not what someone tells me to be.
There's a line that Katherine said in the show which really hit me that goes sth like this: "Because no one loves a control freak!", and she finally got so sick of being someone she wasn't.
Kinda hit me cos I think I am a control freak, to a certain extent. UH-OH.
But yet, at the end of the day, she found someone who loves her just the way she is.

Sometimes, this is the ugly truth. That there are people who will come by you, and try to see you as who they want to fall in love with, and when they realise you aren't like that, they just leave u hanging.

And sometimes it feels like it's so hard to ever find someone who will love me for who I am, given i'm crazy like a mad woman(haha), but deep down inside I want and do believe, that God has prepared for me the best.

And I know He has. :)

So to all the girls outside, BE YOURSELF! DON'T CARE WHAT STEREOTYPES PEOPLE THROW ON YOU. YOU ARE WHAT PEOPLE LOVE. :D

I watched this movie, My Sister's Keeper today.

It was an amazing movie, because it addressed the fundamental threads that make up this thing called-Family.

It is really sad, because you see how we as humans cannot control life or death, by our own power.
This story is about a girl, who is purposefully "created" and born to donate bone marrow and a kidney to her dying sister, who has leukemia.
Watching this from the perspective of being in hospital not long ago, it was so real that it hit me in the face- how life and death are a part of everyday living.

How a mother's heartbeat is always to keep her children safe, to do everything she can in her power.
Personally, i cried the most when Kate was alone in the room with her mother, getting her mother to come to terms with the fact that it was time for her to go, How her mother really broke down and cried.

I really cried buckets then, and you can see how life is never the same after a close one has passed away.
Although i've not experienced this first hand, but you can feel the grief even after the scene of her funeral.
Most importantly, it taught me the power of family ties, that nothing, not a court case, nor a death, can break our families apart.

I guess God put you in your family for a reason, and we should treasure each and every sibling and our parents. Because you really never know when they will no longer be on this earth.

I'm glad I have a sister. I hope I can be my sister's keeper too. I love you Joy! (:
